IE 9 and WordPress

Posted by essjae on April 29, 2011

they don’t seem to like each other.  http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/ie9-editing-and-posting-problems?replies=2

Turning on compatibility mode seems to help…although I’m sure I posted from IE9 last night on my other computer without issue (or compatibility mode).

Hyper-V: just use 2 or more NICs!

Posted by essjae on April 29, 2011

Add a NIC for management.  This is a Microsoft best practice and there are plenty of threads in the Hyper-V technet forums with users having various issues with one NIC.  Add a NIC, make your IT life easier!

note: IE9 and wordpress don’t seem to get a long.  I wrote this post 4 times, 3 in IE9 that never showed up, once in FF4.

Google Apps–big change for the free version

Posted by essjae on April 28, 2011

I received an email today from Google regarding the free version of Google Apps:

Hello,As of May 10, any organization that signs up for a new account will be required to use the paid Google Apps for Business product in order to create more than 10 users. We honor our commitment to all existing customers and will allow you to add more than 10 users to your account for smudj.com at no additional charge, based on the limit in place when you joined us.

We recently announced upcoming changes to the maximum number of users for Google Apps. We want to let you know that, as a current customer, the changes will not affect you.

 Sincerely,

The Google Apps Team

If you’re thinking of getting a free version of Google Apps, looks like you need to get it done before May 10
